Material & Heat Treatment
Standard grade is 25MnB medium-carbon boron steel; the largest model, 228-15.5, uses 25CrMnB. Boron sharply raises hardenability, so the shoe hardens evenly through the section — which is what wear and impact life come down to.
- 25MnB is a medium-carbon manganese-boron structural steel, the common grade for track shoes and wear parts
- Boron raises hardenability: a more uniform structure through the section after quenching, hence steadier wear and impact resistance
- The 228-15.5, our largest section, uses 25CrMnB — chromium added to the 25MnB base for extra hardenability and strength on heavy, large-frame machines
- Quench-and-temper parameters are set to your drawing and duty cycle
Fitment & Applications
Replacement shoes for excavator and bulldozer track chains; matched by base-machine model or OEM drawing.
- Fits excavator and bulldozer crawler undercarriages
- Cross-referenced by base-machine model or OEM drawing for track chain replacement
- Grade follows machine class — the 228-15.5 runs 25CrMnB for heavy, large-frame machines
